City Folk With Alisa Fineman Returns to the Aromas Community Grange Hall
They're back! We are pleased to welcome back, as part of their current tour, the acoustic trio we know and love as City Folk. City Folk, along with Very Special Guest Alisa Fineman, will reunite for a special early Sunday evening of music to benefit the Beautiful 105 year old Aromas Community Grange Hall!!!

City Folk Bio

City Folk is Keith Greeninger, Kimball Hurd and Roger Feuer. The group is renowned for their award winning songwriting, tight vocal harmonies and expansive musical arrangements. They began playing together in the late 1980's and quickly rose to the top of the Bay Area music scene, enjoying immense popularity on the National Folk and Americana circuits and performing at major festivals, concert halls, and legendary acoustic venues throughout the Country. They were winners of KFOG's prestigious Best of the Bay music award.

The trio's current tour celebrates the release of a brand new live DVD that captures a sold-out concert the band performed in November of last year at the Nevada City Theater.

City Folks performances are rare these days since each of the artists have gone on to pursue other musical directions. When they do come together, there is the added essence of long-time musical collaborators with a history, a respect and a sound that only happens when they share their combined talents and enjoyment of making music together.

Creating an effortless flow of music and harmonies, the group has often drawn comparisons to such legends as CSN and The Eagles, and, though such comparisons are easily understandable, the listener is immediately aware that this group has created a sound and a message completely their own and unlike any other.

More on Alisa Fineman:

Alisa Fineman grew up in Californias San Fernando Valley, born to a family rich in musical heritage. Her great grandfather played first trumpet with the New York Philharmonic under the legendary Toscanini. Her grandmother, a concert pianist, gave Alisa her first piano lessons. At the age of eleven Alisa began learning guitar, and a year later she was writing her first songs. Early inspirations, both musically and lyrically, include Joni Mitchell, Odetta, Willa Cather, Kate Wolf and Mary McCaslin. As with these artists, Alisas repetoire of songs speak of love, of a sense of place and an appreciation for the earths beauty and fragility, and of lifes sometimes-difficult choices.
