Parlor of Mystery & South Shore Theatre present Comedy Magic Show
The Parlor of Mystery will feature the comedic talents of R.J. Lewis and Bob Yorburg on September 23 along with mentalism by emcee Joe Silkie and close-up magic by David Rosenfeld. The fun starts at 7 PM at the South Shore Theatre Experience home of The Parlor of Mystery.
R.J. Lewis R.J. began his career as a street performer in Times Square in New York City, where he was seen and hired for the Broadway musical 'BARNUM.' He performed at the White House for President Reagan and was part of "ROGER MINAMI'S HEATWAVE " show which was featured in Atlantic City. He consulted magic for the Broadway show "THE HIGH ROLLERS" and was cast in "BUSKER ALLEY" starring Tommy Tune. R.J. played the lead in two award-winning short films: "BEYOND BELIEF" and "DOWN IN FLAMES." He recently completed a two years stint with Princess Cruises as the Magic Maker in the show "MAGIC TO DO." Bob Yorburg Bob Yorburg, aka Professor Phineas Feelgood, is a magician, author, artist, woodcarver and restorer of all things cool. His interest in turn of the 19th-century amusement arts combined with his varied talents and unusual props are incorporated into comedy magic that is unforgettable, interactive and downright fun. David Rosenfeld Long Island-native David Rosenfeld specializes in close-up magic and mentalism. He has performed at countless weddings, birthday parties, retirement parties, corporate events, and on small stages. A practicing magician for 15 years, David Rosenfeld brings high energy and professionalism to every performance, with a variety of effects that captivate and amaze. David will perform his close-up miracles in the lobby during intermission. Joe Silkie Parlor of Mystery co-founder, Joe Silkie, will host the show. Silkie is a magic creator, consultant, lecturer and artist. He has constructed magic props for popular television shows and produced magic accessories used by thousands of magicians worldwide. His magic often includes hand-made artifacts that he produces in his studio. His work is a regularly featured in Vanish Magic Magazine.
The Parlor of Mystery's is one of many programs presented at the South Shore Theatre Experience in Lindenhurst. It's the perfect place to experience parlor and close-up magic. It is small black box theater with comfortable tiered seating for 40. The Parlor of Mystery is one of many productions that take place at the South Shore Theatre Experience, which is located at 115 South Wellwood Avenue in Lindenhurst. The South Shore Theatre Experience is a non-profit organization that produces original works and theater classics as well as conducting acting classes & workshops.
Parlor of Mystery shows usually take place on the fourth Sunday of every month with different magicians performing different effects.
