Wool Frolic and Yarn Sale
At Landis Valleys celebration of the fiber arts, look for live animals, fiber vendors, and demonstrations on yarn dying, knitting, crocheting, spinning, and weaving. Also featuring a sale of sorted yarns of all kinds and pattern books that will inspire you to craft fiber art of your own. All this, plus hands-on kids activities, will make for a great day of fuzzy, fiber-y fun!
New This Year! Try your hand a herding ducks in an interactive herding demonstration. They move similarly to sheep so sheepdogs practice with them--and so can you! You'll learn to anticipate the animals' moves and guide them to the place you want them to go, all while gaining an appreciation of the concentration and intelligence of sheepdogs.
Yarn Sale: This year, there is a wide selection of yarns, including wool, wool blends, acrylic, cotton and more. Also fleece, linen thread, silk thread, macrame cord, wood shuttles and bobbins. Craft books and more - all at a really good price! Donations of high quality yarn for this sale are always appreciated. Proceeds benefit museum programming.
Please note: event is rain or shine; no refunds on online ticket sales.
