Sunnyhill Live!: Amelia White US Album Tour
Raised In Virginia, and based in Nashville, Amelia White cut her musical teeth in the New England area, in the same scene that produced Mary Gauthier, Lori McKenna, and Aimee Mann. Her music has been described as rock-folk-alt/art-country.

White's newest album, Rhythm of the Rain, includes nine rollicking songs--stories of love, fate, death, grief, and politics--all spun from her musical magic. White shows us how serious living can be, and at the same asks us not to take life, and ourselves, too seriously. White made this album in the four days between her mother's funeral and her own wedding. It's no surprise that the juncture of these personal life events led to this exploration of that close space between grief and joy.

The material on Rhythm of the Rain was written in 2016 while White was abroad in Europe. Reading the news about the US while living in an attic in York gave White the physical separation she needed to comment on the shake-up back home without finger pointing. She makes no judgments, just observes. Listeners find the emotions in the details because like a short story writer, White knows how to craft people and places with well-crafted lyrics and melodies.

Fans and reviewers describe White as warm and approachable, and her songs like stories, rich in details that are touching and bittersweet, funny and poignant.

White is a rock and roll soothsayer, an East Nashville Cassandra with an Americana gospel shout thicker than the paper-thin illusion of fame and money. Rhythm of the Rain is a late afternoon storm, a sky on the verge of cracking as wide open as Amelia Whites heart.
