In addition to the concert at 8 PM, Fiddlers Dream is also proud to present renowned Beppe Gambetta, one of THE worlds top guitar virtuosos (belonging in the same league as Doc Watson and Norman Blake) in a dedicated guitar clinic.
Beppe Gambetta is a guitarist, vocalist, researcher and composer born in Genova, Italy who developed a style of concert presentation that brings American and European Roots to speak together with one voice. In his unique approach, Gambetta blends energetic grooves with passionate melodies, giving new life to sources from different times, periods and places. In addition, the original music he composes gives contemporary influences to traditional roots music.
In a 90-minute session, Beppe will share secrets of his picking style as he describes it as an inspired music that modestly avoids relying solely on his high level of technical excellence, but also reveals the innermost feelings of a brilliant, playful mind that is always exploring and innovating while staying firmly rooted in tradition.

Beppe will be performing his transformative guitar work in concert after the clinic, beginning at 8pm.
Over the past few years, Beppe divides his life between New Jersey and his native Genova. A good part of his artistic inspiration comes from the long time on the road, the encounters with other artists, and his extensive research about different forms of traditional guitar. Following his vision, he opened new paths to the Flatpicking World with an approach open to music collaboration. He experimented with new international repertoires, he composed new melodies, he brought back to life the work of forgotten popular artists, he used the aesthetic of acoustic music to give new life to songs that he sings in different languages. Beppe toured the World - solo and with important partners (Dan Crary, Gene Parsons, David Grisman) - and for 15 years he and his wife, Federica, have produced Genoese Acoustic Nights, one of the biggest European shows dedicated to the guitar. In his 30 years of activity he has produced 12 CDs, one DVD and a large amount of teaching material (books, DVDs, etc.). Beppe likes to teach his approach and share his passion to the new generations. He organizes and participates at workshops on both sides of the Ocean. He recently published the Flatpicking Guitar Treaty in which he shows how Flatpicking can have a transversal approach that touches different forms of Roots Music.
