Main Event: Berkeley Festival of Choro 2018 Performance at St. John's Church
The Festival
The fifth annual Berkeley Festival of Choro will present two special concerts this fall. October 6th and 7th.
The main event will be held at the St. John's Episcopal Church in Berkeley on October 6th, featuring Duo Violão Brasil, Grupo Falso Baiano, Berkeley Choro Ensemble, and a special guest from Brasilia, Ian Coury, on mandolin.
Our Brazilian guests include, from Rio de Janeiro, Duo Violão Brasil, with Rogério Souza and Edinho Gerber, and from Brasilia, the young mandolinist, Ian Coury. Nando Duarte on 7-string guitar from Rio and LA will be joining as well for the Sunday, October 7th evening program at the SoundRoom, Oakland, joined by Brian Rice on pandeiro.
