Girl Talk is a program initiated by Choose Yourself, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young women and girls. Girl Talk is a program that offers women the space to critique, share experiences, exchange ideas and form solidarity through conversations aimed to incentivize social change. Each Girl Talk holds a different theme, depending on the needs of the community and aims to provide scholarly and practical resources.

This Girl Talk will address Gender expectations and gender roles. We will be discussing what gender roles and expectations are on a global scale and in individual communities. We will tackle the history of the roles and expectations, and what needs to be done to either shift or change narratives in order to empower women and girls.
