PRESENTATION: Integrating a Portfolio with Integrated Master Schedules
As the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) concept becomes a more common method for managing complex projects, it is important to understand the full breadth of what integration means for project planning and execution. Contemporary scheduling tools are built around recursive structures, from activity to Work Breakdown Structure to Enterprise Project Structure. Using Sound Transits current portfolio as a guide, we will look at the capabilities of a standardized, integrated program.
PRESENTER: Michael X. Truman, PSP
Michael has almost 20 years of experience in project control. He has worked for contractors, consultants, and clients to stand up projects, control cost and schedule, and manage change. He is currently a Senior Schedule Engineer at Sound Transit where he oversees the schedules for projects in the East Corridor, from alternatives analysis and project development through contractor procurement and construction. With the scheduling team, he has been developing the IMS practice at ST for the past 4 years; he built the preliminary schedule structure for Lynnwood Link Extension, Federal Way Link Extension, Tacoma Link Extension, and the Operations & Maintenance Facility: East, in addition to managing the current East Link Extension IMS comprising 7 interfacing construction contracts.

COST:
The member price for this event is $32.00 if you register before 12:00 Noon on the Monday immediately preceding the meeting; late registration is $37.00.
Non-members price is $39.00 before 12:00 Noon on the Monday immediately preceding the meeting, and $45.00 thereafter.
Please note that registration will be closed Monday, September 10th, at 8:00 pm.
A very limited of first come first served meals will be available at the door.
MENU:
BBQ Citrus Salmon-(Served with with a Wild Rice Pilaf and Seasonal Vegetable Medley), Pan Seared Steak Sukiyaki-(Pineapple-Sake Marinated Flank Steak grilled and sliced thin over Asian Sticky Rice and topped with a sweet soy sauce, served with Baby Bok Choy), and Vegetarian (requires one week advance notice).

AACE Seattle Section meets the 2nd Thursday of each month from September through June (excluding December). Each meeting with a technical presentation qualifies for .25 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) towards your CCP/CEP/CFCC/DRMP/EVP/PSP recertification requirements.
