Suntory Toki Whisky x Bohemian Summer Matsuri 8/29
Toki is Suntorys shining star as of late - enjoyed simply on the rocks or as a highball (whisky + soda), this charming blended whisky just the best thing on a hot summer day.
Late summer is a hoppin' time of year in Japan, with festivals and night markets being held all over the country in celebration of long, leisurely days and Obon, which is like Halloween for the Japanese, minus all the costumes. Summer kimonos and flip-flops, paper fan in hand, kids in tow, people flock to temples and shrines to enjoy food at the nighttime stalls, family-friendly games and fireworks.
Join us for an evening of tasty Bohemian night market food, a couple of traditional Japanese summer night activities and almost most importantly, Toki highballs. On premise will be Suntorys official Toki Highball machine, which is a genius creation that dispenses the perfect ratio of whisky to soda at the perfect temperature.
All-inclusive $85 per person gets you great food and unlimited Toki highballs. The food menu promises Washugyu steak sandwiches, tuna poke, bacon skewers, chicken karaage, pulled pork mac and cheese, veggies, elote corn, sushi rolls and dessert.
This is technically 3rd in a series of collaborations weve been hosting with our friends at Suntory, following the Yamazaki and Hakushu pairing dinners. This time its a little different in that its standing room and more of a festive occasion. Feel free to come dressed as casual as you like, and if you have a summer kimono, you are absolutely encouraged to come wearing it!
One night only, on Wednesday, August 29th! Tickets are available for 6pm, 7pm and 8pm entry times. There is no designated finish time for any of them but we expect most guests to be with us for around 2 hours. Even if you come for the later entry times, don't worry, we'll have enough of everything for you! Children and non-whisky drinkers are welcome, but the ticket price remains the same.
