ModArts Dance Collective (MADC) presents Move to Change
ModArts Dance Collective (MADC) is thrilled to announce its inaugural dance festival entitled Move to Change on Saturday, September 29, 2018 3:30 & 6 PM at Oberia D. Dempsey Theater, 127 W 127th Street, NY, NY, 10027. The purpose of Move to Change is to use dance as a form of social justice and arts activism through the lens of women/womyn, men, & LGBTQIA people of color. The goal of Move to Change is to create cultural and gender affirming spaces for artists of color to present longer works reflecting their personal stories to influence their respective communities and the world around them. Come view works presented by Eury German, Gierre Godley/Project 44, Shantelle Courvoisier Jackson, Beverly Lopez/REDi Dance Company, & Leah Tubbs/MADC. Online tickets are $15 and $20 at the door.
