Dr. Sketchy's SF Presents Jain Dowe!
Hey all you sketchy folks!
And welcome to another installment of Dr. Sketchy's for your monthly drawwwerring itch;P
This month we have a newcomer for our stage.
She's the ballerina gone bad. She's the classiest bitch on the block. She's your favorite unfamiliar face - Jain Dowe!
She's a dancer with the world-renowned Vau de Vire Society, and a prancing clown with Fou Fou Ha! She's torn up the Bay Area burlesque and cabaret scene for the last four years, performing in Hubba Hubba Revue on the big and small stage, Tourettes Without Regrets, North Bay Cabaret, Haus Serpens Quixotic Cabaret, Circus of Sin, Bad Influences Burlesque, Kinky Salon, and more. She's the co-producer of Punklesque: Anarchy in the T&A and IndePunkdence Day, featuring burlesque to live punk music, and Haus Serpens Gothic Americana. She's gearing up to perform at SexBombe Cabaret, Star Star, and Fou Fou Ha at Burning Man. At Wasteland Weekend, you'll catch her on the main stage with the Hell's Sirens, and with Vau de Vire Society in their 10 week run of The Soiled Dove!
Hope to see you there!

What is Dr Sketchy's Anti-Art School?
Since 2005, Dr. Sketchy's has been the name in alternative drawing. From illegal flashmobs to the Museum of Modern Art, Dr. Sketchy's has brought artists a rule-breaking cocktail of dames, drinking and drawing. Dr. Sketchy's branches draw in over a hundred cities around the globe, from Akron to Zagreb. Whether you're an artstar or a scribbling newbie, Dr. Sketchy's is the perfect place to get your fill of life-drawing.
Dr. Sketchy's is the brainchild of artist Molly Crabapple.
In San Francisco, we have a strong commitment to community. We believe that making art is about finding a great place to practice, with a community of like-minded folks. We celebrate our sometimes indescribable and important local culture. We get excited about our models and we hope that our excitement inspires the artists who attend.
