TU / PAPOTAGES

After performing in Los Angeles, the French modern dance company, Étantdonné will present 2 performances at the Lycée Français of San Francisco.

TU (a performance for all ages) Monday, April 8 at 8 pm
Papotages ( for ages 5 years old and up) Tuesday, April 9 at 8 pm

For 12 years, the company Étantdonné has traveled the world to present their choreography, greatly inspired by cinema and the arts, in a subtle combination of conceptual art and derision.

Created for Avignon 2012, TU is a study of the gaze, a hypnotic awakening which reveals the differences that hide behind surface similarities .Two hooded figures wander on the stage; they follow each other and invent their own path as they go along.

With more than 2,000 performances, Papotages (Chit-chat) is Étantdonné's first creation.
Created with the intention of provoking awareness and eliciting the spontaneous pleasure essential to all encounters, Chit-chat takes as its starting point what the dancers and their audience have in common: the body.
