[biography] Anne-Gaëlle is an independent dance artist working in improvisation and composition. She is a graduate of Trinity Laban specialising in Choreology. Since 2005 she has been performing, making work and collaborating with artists including Annie Lok, Simonetta Alessandri, Tara DArquian, Laura Doehler/Exit Map, h2dance, Laila Diallo, Joe Moran, Noa Zamir, amongst others. She is an associate artist with Candoco Dance Company and has a particular interest in making my practice accessible to a great diversity of dancers, and enabling dancers to reach their individual potential. As a dedicated Contact Improvisation practitioner, Anne-Gaëlle has co-run CI @ Goldsmiths in South-East London for the past 7 years.
[class description] Her class is release-based and will articulate the physical and sensorial relationship with oneself, another and the group. We will approach technique through studying pathways, alignment, articulation and body tone that allow an efficient and safe way of working dynamically through the space. Drawing from her experiences in technique and contact improvisation, she will facilitate a class that will include improvisation and set material, starting from the breath into an energizing build-up.
Booking is essential as the class has limited spaces.
