Danish String Quartet: Haydn | Abrahamsen | Beethoven
New Yorker writer Alex Ross said it best about this group: It was good to encounter the rampaging energy of the Danish Quartet. Three of the ensembles members bet as children at a summer music camp, playing both music and soccer together.
The Danish String Quartet was immediately reengaged after its acclaimed Indianapolis debut in 2017. The group debuted at the 2002 Copenhagen Festival, and over the past 16 years have developed into an exceptional quartet, whatever repertory they play. (New York Times)
Program: Haydn, Quartet in C Major, Op. 20, No. 2 Abrahamsen, Quartet No. 1 "10 Preludes" Beethoven, Quartet in F, Op. 59, No. 1, "Razumovsky"
