Film The Real Story & Satin of Knowingness
Madelynnes topic expert, Erik Helgeson, a long time survivor of Muscular Dystrophy, has a particular interest in serving military veterans who are returning home with amputations, PTSD, housing needs, etc. Erik reports that the Minneapolis area is sorely lacking even in some of the basics: ramps, lifts, vans and transportation for physical therapy, even simple needs like snow removal from walkways in the winter. He would like to be part of the solution.
Workshop: Madelynnes project will also include the participation of Access Press leaders Tim Benjamin. Tim will be showing his film , The Real Story with a post showing discussion lead by Erik, Tim and Madelynne with the purpose of providing tools to implement actual CHANGE! ACW will also be awarding the state of the art, and gently used (by Tim), Permobil wheel chair ($7,000.00 new) employed in Madelynnes Truth and Resilience project to the person who writes the most compelling need-based essay. Awardee will be selected by Erik and Tim.
