Love, lust, takeout and everything in between! Singer/Songwriter Michele Brourman brings her buffet of musical delights to Pangea. The evening is a mix of familiar tunes and new gems from her forthcoming album "The Price of Love". Michele's songs have been performed by numerous luminaries across the globe, from Margaret Whiting to Reba McIntyre, but nothing compares to hearing the composer herself sing them. Her wit, charm and complete engagement grab an audience by the heart and take them along on an unforgettable ride.
Michele Brourman has been making up songs and singing them since she was three years old. Her best-loved song, My Favorite Year, has been recorded by Michael Feinstein, Dame Cleo Laine, Margaret Whiting, Billy Stritch, and frequent collaborator Amanda McBroom. She's written and produced the songs for 18 animated features for Universal Studios, including the beloved Land Before Time series, writing for Reba McIntyre, Donnie Osmond, Olivia Newton-John and more. Brourman's work has been featured in television and film and performed by countless cabaret artists, garnering numerous awards and critical acclaim. Her work for the theater includes the scores for the musicals Dangerous Beauty and The Belle of Tombstone.
"We've known for a good while that Brourman was a sublime pianist/composer, but it was a revelation what a strong, versatile voice she possesses, how very funny (and often quite naughty) she is, with a lovely throwaway sense of mischief, as well as possessing the acting skills to put her creations over to maximum effect. A very special talent." Jeremy Chapman, Musical Theatre Review, London "A scintillating performance, with My Favourite Year just one of a clutch of intricately assembled modern classics." Clive Davis, Times of London "She gets to the heart or the heart of the matter with honesty, finesse, and bite.a cornucopia of touching, playful, and juicy invention." Alix Cohen, Playing Around, New York City
