Bre Gregg + Redbird
Bre Gregg is wildly soulful. When she opens her mouth you hear a rich musical history of back alley clubs filled with smokey jazz, visceral blues and deeply authentic swamp soul. Her voice is technically superb after years of study and performance, but her ability to connect with the music and her audiences make her performances profoundly intimate. One thing is for sure her blend of tenderness and fire will leave you wanting more.
Born into a family of musicians, Bre was singing before she could talk. After a degree in music, followed by study and performance in Italy, New York and California, she moved to Portland and spent the next few years entering the music scene and releasing her first CD,On the Wind. Bre's latest album,Something to Talk About, was recorded at a live tribute to Bonnie Raitt featuring top NW talents Lisa Mann, David Jacobs-Strain, Ara Lee, Shelly Rudolph, Mark Bowden, Anne Weiss, Rich Landar and Dan Stueber.
Red Bird is found where polish and sophistication meet crackling raw energy. Their music is influenced by soul, blues and americana, delivering a rich pallet of emotion and sound. Bre Greggs stirring vocals and Dan Gildeas screaming guitar prowess front the band creating a musical communication that is powerful and organic. Backed by groove masters, Jeff Langston on bass and Charlie Doggett on drums, they create a sound you cant help but feel.
