Hollywood 101 with Chase Bartels
As part of the Los Angeles Women's International Film Festival Symposium Chase Bartels will speak on the in's and out's of who-does-what in Hollywood.
For the past seven years Chase Bartels has annually been identifying, judging, developing, and mentoring fresh writing talent for the Warner Bros. Writers' Workshop. Her experience working with both buyers and sellers has made her highly respected for her depth and breadth of Hollywood business knowledge and creative decision-making.
After majoring in Entertainment Management at Missouri State, she moved to CA and started in the William Morris Agency mailroom as an agent trainee. After leaving the mailroom, she spent the next three years supporting top actors, writers and producers for the agency. From there she went to work at Warner Bros. in their Current Programs department. While in Current Programs she worked with Fringe, The George Lopez Show, One Tree Hill, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Smallville, Supernatural and Two and a Half Men.
Since her time with the WB Writers' Workshop, she has helped launch 61 writing careers. A winning streak, for up and coming talent, that she plans on continuing!
