MOPEY WRECKS

After the untimely death of their folk rock icon father, the Prozorov sisters find themselves stuck in the family retreat located in a remote part of upstate. Along with their depressed brother Andre, they pine for the adrenaline rush of life back in the city - their attempts to return repeatedly ending nowhere.

During a melancholy birthday celebration their grieving is interrupted by a cavalcade of visits... some invited, some not. Over the course of the next couple of years, their isolation is upturned and accompanied by the painful loss of plans, unrequited passion and blinded purpose.

A comedy.

Mopey Wrecks explores the paralysis of hope found in a story of the unavoidable, unmistakable and uncomfortable bonds between family.
