We are pleased to announce that our 4rd Annual Flavors of Chemistry will be occurring on Saturday September 29th at the UC Davis Activities and Recreation Center, the same location as last year) from 1-4pm. We thank our sponsors Agilent and Elsevier.
Tentative Schedule:
1-1:45pm Registration and Refreshments
1:45-2:15pm ACS Sacramento Section Awards
2:15-3pm Prof. Charlie Bamforth, Anheuser-Busch Endowed Professor of Malting and Brewing Sciences at UC Davis will speak about the flavor of beer in a talk titled "Looks good, tastes good, does you good: Beer", with a tasting of four beers.
3-3:15pm Break
3:15-4pm Prof. David Everett, Leprino Food Endowed Professor and Director of the Dairy Innovation Institute at Cal Poly will speak about the flavor of cheese in a talk titled "Cheese: From Rotting Milk to a Connoisseurs Delight", with a tasting of five cheeses sponsored by Agilent.
Parking is available free in UC Davis Lot 25, directly in front of the ARC.
