The Carnivores Pig-Out Feast
Mr. Wolf's is a work of fiction invented for Hamish Dow (a podiatrist in Heaton) to be the face and personality of a range of spice recipes he has concocted (and hopes to have on sale very soon).
The Men Of Meat Carnivore's Pig-Out Feast is a lighthearted event, formed off the back of small meetings of friends, and like minded souls, looking to have some convivial fun and eat meat. In the past Mr. Wolf and his cohort have progressed from small, meaty meet-up's to meeting, eating, and trying to raise a bit of money for charities. We are looking to raise as much money as we can to give to The Great North Children's Hospital and as such we have loads of fantastic raffle prizes, generously donated by some wonderful local people and businesses (and some from further afield). After all #ItsForTheBairns.
The Great North Children's hospital is the state-of-the-art paediatric hospital for the North East Region, providing the highest standards of care for ill children and young people. It is one of the largest childrens hospitals in the UK and has been the leading hospital for child health research for the last 2 years. More research means more progress towards not only providing the best care for children in the North East but across the whole country and beyond. It is our dearest hope that on the evening we will be blessed with a magnanimous, warm and generous crowd of people, looking to enjoy the event and donate/contribute as much money as they can to this magnificent, local, Children's Hospital.
As we have in past Mr.Wolf's Men Of Meat meals, we borrow a little from the old comedy favourite Black Adder to add a layer of levity. Ladies are very welcome, they're just called "Bob", and are normally found wearing a false moustache on entry. Men are similarly called "Not Bob". Name tags to such effect make it very transparent.
On this occasion the meal is as ever carnivore, and will be a pork based menu, served up as a communal banquet. The dress code is: "elegant and colourfully fabulous". We do prefer a joyous lightness of heart for these events.
The Feast is being hosted at the beautiful Biscuit Factory on Stoddart Street in Newcastle on Saturday 22nd September 2018. The doors will open at 7:00pm for guests to take their welcome drinks in the art gallery, before proceeding to the feast.
