SOLD OUT: Politics and Prose and DC Public Library Present MARKUS ZUSAK
With his latest novel, Markus Zusak, bestselling author of THE BOOK THIEF, has crafted a sweeping and affecting family saga chronicling the lives of the five Dunbar boys. After both a tragedy and a betrayal, the brothers are left to raise themselves in a world they're still struggling to understand. At the family's center is Clay, the fourth Dunbar brother, who sets out to build a bridge, one that will be made of stone, and of wood, and of him. Through it all, the Dunbar boys seek answers, redemption, and some measure of hope. Masterfully plotted and executed, Zusak's prose leaves readers reeling and applauding, and serves as a reminder that, no matter how winding, the stories we live and share possess indomitable value. Ages 14 and up.
This event is free and open to the public, however, to attend, an entrance ticket is required. To join the signing line, attendees must reserve an entrance ticket plus make a purchase of BRIDGE OF CLAY. We strongly encourage people to reserve a ticket and book ahead of the event due to limited capacity. Seating for this event is first come, first served.
