Tech Ninja:Prop Design

Having a show is great but having a show with awesome props to use and play with are even better! In this class, students will learn how to create a master prop list for our Fall productions and then design, search and create the props and pieces needed for a successful production. Whether you are technically inclined and like to search the right pieces on-line, love to draw and sketch out ideas or love to get your hands dirty and create, this class is for you! With a cardboard-heavy design in The Odyssey and a period piece in The Private Life of Private Molly, there is sure to be all kinds of interesting pieces to build!

Weeks: 9 (7 for class + Backstage crew of shows)
Start and End Date: August 29-October 17th (No Class 9/5) in class, Tech/Performance weeks for shows
Primary Location: Front Room of Pendulum Space in North Center (1803 W. Byron St. #216, Chicago, IL 60613)
Min/max: 2/6 (capping at 6 )
Notes: We are definitely capping this at 6
Students will need a copy of the scripts for our shows, a pencil, and paper/sketch pads
Students that have access to a laptop/tablet might be asked to bring it to search for items that we cant build/dont have
Prop Design students will be asked to be backstage Crew for our shows.
