Whitefolks the Movie: The Brooklyn Showing
The Controversial Cult film Whitefolks the movie is a film inspired by the stories of Donald Goines and Iceberg Slim about two con-artist from Southside Chicago who hustle the Russian the Mafia in a jewelry scam. The fears and consequences of the con-life are played out as they are given 14 days to payback 2 million dollars.
The film was selected at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California. It was also selected at the Georgia Film Night, and Plaza Theatre in Atlanta, as well as the 5th Annual Las Vegas Black Film Festival. The film won an award for Best Indie Film at the ATL Actor's Award hosted by Joe Torry of John Singleton's Poetic Justice.
This Brooklyn showing is the final city of a 4 city tour of the film. It will have a Spike Lee Theme in homage to the one of the pioneers of Grassroots filmmaking. The film Whitefolks will be shown at:
