Jamie Lynn Vessels with Anne Alise Hastings with her Revolving Casts of Charecters
Originally from Raleigh, NC, Jamie graduated with a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology with a certificate in Forensic Criminology from the University of Massachusetts - Lowell, and an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensics from Saint Anselm College in New Hampshire.
Jamie soon felt a calling to another way of life. She traveled to Louisiana from her home town in North Carolina and decided to explore her lifelong musical passion.
With an unusual start, this newcomer exploded onto the music scene in late 2012 to rave reviews at open mics and acoustic shows. She officially began her career at the start of 2013 by jumping feet-first into the studio in New Orleans to record 15 of her original songs with world-class musicians and a top-notch production crew.
Jamie's ability to weave beautiful stories through her intricate lyrics and sweet, folksy strings stems from her own life experiences as well as everyday human observation. We all strive for the same out of this life: to be loved, to be healed, and to have some fun along the way. Jamie's music is exactly that -- a reflection of human nature, its resilience and its celebrations.
Jamie has made New Orleans her new home and has settled nicely into the local scene playing a refreshing and intoxicating mix of blues and rock 'n' roll.
Jamie released her first EP and first full-length album, "Home," in 2013. Her sophomore independent record, "Storm Coming," was released on April 19th, 2018.
Anne Elise Hastings offers a powerful take on the folk-rock genre. Hastings has charmed audiences with her powerful vocal range, lyrically-driven songs, and unmistakable Appalachian undertones. Recently Anne Elise has shared the stage with acts like The Lone Bellow, Sam Lewis, Andrew Pope, and Jared & the Mill. Her eponymous debut album was released on April 21, 2018, featuring Grammy Award Winner Scott Billington on harmonica and mastered by famed New Orleans musician Jeff Albert. The album captures the feelings of modern heartbreak and offers a fresh perspective on the trials of emerging adulthood.
