Politics and Prose and Sixth & I Present JULIAN CASTRO
Julián Castro, former mayor of San Antonio and Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under Barack Obama, is a rising star in America. In this memoir, reminiscent of Barack Obamas Dreams from my Father, Castro tells the story of his childhood in a struggling San Antonio neighborhood, his activist mother, and his meteoric rise alongside his twin Joaquín, now a U.S. Congressman. His story of resilience and dedication gives us hope for our country, affirming that the 21st-century American Dream is alive and well. Castro will be in conversation with Jonathan Allen, a national political reporter with NBC News.
