Something to be Proud of
All too often we hear of all the bad things our youth are doing. What about the good? Well, here is your chance to celebrate youth doing positive things and making good choices through the art of dance.
On Saturday, April 6, 2013, DEPE will present "Something to be Proud of." Members will showcase showcase their many other talents in addition to the art form they love, dance. The evening includes student choreography, and works by artistic director Latanya d. Tigner, and guest choreographers Lavinia Mitchell, Phylicia Stroud, Traci Bartlow, Alseny Soumah as well as that of the whom they worked with during their 2012 LA study trip.
DEPE always shares the love. Joining them on this show are Urban Triangle Ballet and Oakland Technical High.
Funds raised from ticket and hospitality sales will enable DEPE members to attend two study trips: Camp Fareta in July and Los Angeles during Labor day weekend.
Come on out and support these wonderful youth.
