CULTIVATE - LUNCH, TWO SHOWS AND A SUPPER
Everwood Farmstead Foundation invites you to join us at the farm on September 29, 2018 to enjoy an afternoon of music, food, friends and autumn beauty to help further and grow the work of the Foundation.
Join us at the Farm as early as Noon before we gather in the barn at 12:30 pm for lunch - an intimate gathering at long tables as acclaimed chef JIM CHRISTIANSEN prepares a multi-course meal from locally sourced ingredients. Lunch will Include wine pairings along with custom cocktails prepared by JASON SUSS of A Proper Pour. Afterwards, take a walk on the trails, visit the bee hives, play a yard game or just relax on a blanket. When you build up a thirst, we'll have wine, Spotted Cow on tap and a variety of non-alcoholic beverages. At 3:30, you will enjoy the BALDWIN SISTERS (Christina Baldwin & Jennifer Baldwin Peden) followed by singer/songwriter HALEY. And when you get hungry again, you'll enjoy a pig roast raised and roasted by PINEY HILL FARM along with vegetarian side dishes prepared with produce from Piney Hill and Everwood.

JIM CHRISTIANSEN is noted for his hyper-seasonal, close-to-home ingredient philosophy as well as his ability to create gorgeous and exquisitely flavorful dishes. His time spent at world-renowned Noma continues to inform his creations today. Jim has been recognized as a Food & Wine Magazine Best New Chef (2015) and a James Beard nominee as Best Chef Midwest (2015, 2016 and 2017).
PINEY HILL FARM, located "next door" to Everwood, grows vegetables and livestock using organic practices with their sights set on organic certification in the near future. They are proud members of the Hungry Turtle Farmers Cooperative and also grow for several Twin Cities' restaurants.
JASON SUSS, from A Proper Pour, has worked at some of the Twin Cities' finest restaurants including La Belle Vie and St. Dinette. He never shies away from a pun and mixes incredibly creative specialty and craft cocktails.
CHRISTINA BALDWIN and JENNIFER BALDWIN PEDEN are among the most talented of the Twin Cities classical artists. Their easy partnership infuses grace, beauty and humor into songs and storytelling. This rare, intimate evening in the barn will bring them back to their farm roots mixing soaring arias with natural bird songs. If you have never experienced opera before, there could not be a better introduction.
HALEY recorded an album as a teenager before leaving Rapid City, SD. At age 19, she was on the road opening for Low. In the last decade, Haley has released nine more recordings to critical acclaim and mounting success. She writes genuine, epochal and poetic tales that feel like our heartbreak, failure, frustration and joy. In a clear, insistent and often haunting voice, she tells real stories back to us, as if they were our own.
