Annie and The Beekeepers, currently including multi-instrumentalists, Annie Lynch, Jeni Magana, Javier Cruz, and Keenan O'Meara, are a group of college peers turned internationally touring Americana group. Based in Brooklyn by way of Boston, their music hails from somewhere between Liverpool and Harlan county. They have performed at SXSW, Philadelphia Folk Festival, Boston Folk Festival, UK's End of The Road, Bristol Ryhthm and Roots Reunion, and have shared stages with Josh Ritter, Justin Townes Earl, The Low Anthem, David Wax Museum and Joe Pug amongst others. Since their 2007 debut, Annie and The Beekeepers have released two albums and an EP, including their brand new recent full-length, "My Bonneville", titled after Annie's first car. Annie and The Beekepers have received wide ranging critical praise from publications like The Boston Globe, Washington Post, American Songwriter, Paste Magazine, and Filter. Performer Magazine refers to"My Bonneveille" as "American roots music, sweetly intimate with vast boot-stomping songwriting".
"Annie's voice took me entirely by surprise. It has the sort of deep smooth sound you don't often hear from such a young performer and it made me nostalgic for the great female singers I grew up with (Joni Mitchell, Natalie Merchant, Sarah Mclachlan, etc.)." The Big Red Apple
"Annie's voice lifts up the listener and spirits you away to another place another time How far away? That depends on the set length! I compare Lynch's singing voice favorably to that of Jenny Lewis or perhaps a cross between the talented Lewis and beautiful singer Dawn Landes. Comparisons may be made, but the music and voice must be heard to be truly appreciated." Ryan's Smashing Life
"Lynch's understated vocals and songwriting are reminiscent of Jolie Holland or the Be Good Tanyas" Boston Globe
RUSTY BELLE - began with the quiet determination to make unique music. starting in their living rooms and working their way through coffee shops, bars, clubs, listening rooms, concert halls, and festival stages, they developed a style all their own. rusty belle swings easily from sweet, simple melodies, whiskey lullabies, blood ballads, busted bluegrass, and folk-punk anthems, to tongue-in-cheek sleaze-rock, glossy-mag candy-pop, and down-home porch-tunes. the remarkable thing is that its all done with honesty and respect for the music. their shows are never predictable and always dynamic. at their best they will bring to you sweet nostalgia, swaggering poise, drunken logic, and grimy dancing before sending you home with a gentle "goodnight."
