What brings a poem to an effective end? In this class, well explore poems with particular attention to: the last stanza, lines, or line and ask questions of the choices made to end each piece. To do this, we'll read and discuss selected poems and also compose through generative exercises individually and as a group. Bring your questions, your struggles with particular poems you are writing, and your thoughts as a reader. Writers of other genres and visual artists are encouraged to attend!
