Dear Enchanted One,
Welcome to the Enchantment Micro-Festival! We are delighted to have you join us for Enchantment, Saturday August 25, 2018 in Santa Cruz, California. Here, you will find essential information to help you get to Enchantment and enjoy yourself oodles once you are there!
Please read the following information carefully:
Location
Parking for the festival is at High Street Community Church, 850 High Street Santa Cruz, Ca 95060. The parking lot is on Kalkar Drive, just off High Street. Please park here and we will shuttle you to the nearby Festival site (3 minutes).
If and only if you have special needs such as a physical disability, please park in the neighborhood near the Festival site: 100 Pasture Road, Santa Cruz, CA 95060
What to Bring
Clothing that includes warm layers, as the site is beautifully shaded beneath a majestic cypress tree and the stage activities are all outdoors. Optionally, a small blanket to sit on, though the native grass is lovely and there are chairs as well surrounding the site. A mug with your name on it for beverages (which will be hot and cold). You may also bring a water bottle; we suggest you have your name on that as well.
What Not to Bring
This is a no-alcohol, no-smoke-of-any-kind event. Please leave all intoxicants at home, and if you need to smoke, you may do so at least 400 steps from the festival site (there are festival-goers with acute respiratory issues, so please respect this request.) No chairs of any kind except wheelchairs.
Elements of Enchantment
At the Festival you will find a number of elements that have been created to help make the experience a deeply nourishing one. We will invite a "bell of mindfulness" to intersperse moments of silence into the festivities. Many little surprises will be sprinkled here and there to give you an opportunity to truly savor the experience. Of course, the music will be magnificent, the dancing divine, the food fantastic, the celebration superb. To us, however, the biggest attraction of all is... you. That's not email hype, we really mean it.
Our intention is that Enchantment will be entertaining, but that it will be much more than entertainment. That it will be an opportunity to deeply nourish and renew your spirit, in whatever ways you naturally feel drawn to: sweet, wild, rhythmic, peaceful, whatever your heart and spirit call for. (And if terms like "heart and spirit" drive you nuts, that's fine too! We invite you to come be yourself and see what you discover.)
