Weeds From Eden
An android with anxiety. A lesbian date in rural Missouri. An ominous lepidopteran figure of doom. "Weeds From Eden" is a cabaret of theatrical work featuring music and lyrics by Brin Solomon and several collaborators. A shout of existential hope in the face of disaster, this show offers reason to dance through the apocalypse and gives trans actors a chance to play roles that aren't all about their gender. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll fall in love with a giant moth "Weeds From Eden" is a garden of musical wonders that don't quite grow anywhere else.
Brin Solomon writes words and music in several genres and is doing their best to queer all of them. Solomon majored in composition at Yale University before earning their MFA in Musical Theatre Writing at NYU/Tisch. Their full-length musical Window Full of Moths has been hailed for its extraordinary songs that add magic to otherwise ordinary lives, and their latest one-act, Have You Tried Not Being A Monster, has been described as agitprop for Julia Serrano.
