Event
Annual Benefit For Somerville Homeless Coalition
This is always a sell-out and features the best in eclectic music and some Christmas Sing-Alongs as well. Now a Boston-area tradition and for such a great cause. I would get tickets NOW if I were you!
This event sells out quickly.. It will feature as always a wide variety of local and visiting talent. The purpose is to raise funds for the Somerville Homeless Coalition while celebrating the diversity of live music in this wonderful space.
Among those with us this year: Tommy and Louise (Trad) Mary Casey/Lindsay ODonovan (Sing-Alongs) The Treaty Trio (Trad), Opera On Tap, Kieran Jordan and some of her dance collaborators, Julian Loida and Kelly Lenahan (Jazz/New Age), The Neave Trio (Classical), Sunniva Brynnel (Swedish) and Revels (Christmas), Opera on Tap (Opera), and Maria Giovanetti (Show Tunes). Singer, Nikki Alberic. And of course, the surprises. Always surprises.
Again, 100% of everything goes to Somerville Homeless, so please be generous.
The Burren Backroom series creates create intimate, informal presentations held in the atmospheric space created by well-known traditional musicians Tommy McCarthy and Louise Costello in Davis Square, Somerville, Masachusetts.
Hosted by Brian O'Donovan of A Celtic Sojourn on WGBH radio, these gatherings will feature core performers from many aspects of traditional music as well as special guests, and conversations around the music. As is the custom of the Burren, it is anticipated informal and dynamic post concert sessions will be a feature.
Because this is a charity event, no discounts apply.
Seating is VERY limited and these events have been selling out, so get your tickets today!
