Trouble Puppet Theater Co.'s Artistic Director, Connor Hopkins shares his twenty years of experience in puppetry as a performer, builder, writer, and director. Participants will learn performance technique, focusing mainly on Trouble Puppet's primary style of American Tabletop puppetry but including several other forms, and Hopkins' approach to using puppetry as a storytelling tool. Why puppets? What does it mean to use puppets? What are puppets good at? What are they bad at? Answers to these and other questions nobody asked will be discussed. Monday July 30, 7-9 pm Tuesday July 31 7-9 pm Wednesday Aug 1, 7-9 pm
Tabletop puppetry is a very physical form, and participants should expect to exert themselves (to a reasonable degree) and wear clothes and shoes suited to movement.
