Writing Home in Fiction and Memoir: A Writing Workshop with Elaine Neil Orr
Home is a complex place. How do we find the courage to get there in our writing? And what do we do once we get there, whether in fiction or in memoir? Using models from great writers such as Jill McCorkle, Michael Ondaatje, Rebecca Walker, and Eudora Welty, this workshop will offer prompts for answering these questions. Youll spend time writing and sharing drafts so that you will leave with beginnings and middles, whether for a short or long piece. Tickets Required by August 31 (or as space allows): $20 includes a copy of Swimming Between Worlds by Elaine Neil Orr
This will be held inside the Graphics Studio #1 at Sawtooth School for Visual Arts on the second floor of the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts.
