Lantern Tours 2018
Once again, the Old City Cemetery Committee presents their annual Lantern Tour, "They Had It Coming."
People often get what they deserve, and our cemetery residents are no exception. Join us to hear how early Sacramentans got their just rewards. Crimes of passion? Rash (or good) judgment? Yes, of course! Before the tour begins, you will encounter some characters from Sacramento's past and have the opportunity to enjoy period music and games of chance and fortune. Then, follow the lanterns and head out into the eerie cemetery where the dead rise again and tell their stories. Pause at the stage as merry murderesses sing, dance and explain that they may have committed murders, but not crimes!
Beware of residents and spirits who may appear unexpectedly along the way, as our usually quiet cemetery comes to life for just four nights. The stories may be strange, but they are all true.
You may wish to bring a flashlight as you travel through time. Guests are encouraged, but not required, to wear Victorian-era costumes. Please no Halloween costumes. There will be five tours each evening for four evenings.
Remember: THE DEAD ARE MORE ALIVE THAN YOU THINK!
All sales are final.
