Dance Camp Northwest LOCALS Only Special - Dance Camp Northwest 2018!

Please join us for the 6th Annual Dance Camp Northwest this summer on beautiful Marrowstone Island, Wa ! Held between glorious views of mountains and sea, we gather from many regional conscious, partner, contact and mindful movement dance communities to dance, play and connect with nature. A full array of amazing and inspiring teachers and DJ's, nourishing meals, community offerings, great people, dancers, artists, healers, activists, families, our youth program and YOU!
Do you live in PT, Chimacum, or on Marrowstone? This year we are trying out a Locals Honored, Locals Only Special - up to three full days at the "almost-at-cost" pricing of $48 a day! Youth, adult, or senior - you pay only $48 per day for all programming and meals. Please note, that due to this very deep discount, this fee is non-negotiable, non-refundable, and does not include overnights stays or stays over three days. (If you want to check out staying overnight on site and joining us for the full or half week, please see our half and full week camper tickets)
Dance Camp is sponsored by Dance Collective Northwest, a 501c3 Washington State Non-Profit -- a volunteer-run, creative collective of people who love to move.
We emphasize:- efforts that co-create community
- respect for differences among individuals and cultures
- empowerment of children, elders, and all community members
- acknowledgement that our bodies and environment are amazing and sacred
- nonviolence, consent culture, and creative conflict resolution
- acknowledgement of the contributions we each make to our community

Consent Culture
This is the ground we dance from at this camp. As participants we agree to pay attention to our own and one another's bodies and boundaries. We agree to read the guidelines (before buying tickets) and to attend consent trainings during camp and throughout the year as offered by our various communities, to empower ourselves and all dancers to find true freedom, grounded in awareness, communication and mutual respect.
Community Service
More than just a vacation, DCNW is a community in which you are invited to participate in any way you can. All participants are asked to contribute at least one hour of community service per day towards making this event incredible! Keep in mind community service positions will be available on a first come first serve basis. Registration link for Community Service comes in your welcome letter.
