Spring Benefit - Epic Now: Poetry for Epic Times
On Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11, 2013 The Poetry Project will host it's Spring Benefit  Epic Now: Poetry for Epic Times. Inspired by poet Anne Waldman's Iovis presentation at Poet's House in October 2012, our Spring Benefit program seeks to explore the themes of humanity that run throughout epic poetry as a way of understanding the epic times we're living in. This two-day event will feature 10 poets and performers who will present their own translations and/or re-interpretations of an epic poem  modern or classic.
