Seahurst Saturdays: Stormwater Adventure!
With SHADOW
SHADOW staff will engage participants in interactive, inquiry based learning activities focused on understanding what stormwater is, what its impact is, and what its impact is on Puget Sound. We will also provide participants tools to use in their own lives to help mitigate stormwater impact on their communities and Puget Sound. Activities include watershed modeling, filtration modeling, absorption modeling, understanding and measuring turbidity. Our curriculum also includes interactive games and stories and dance to increase engagement.
Seahurst Saturdays help families connect to nature and learn more about the diverse life around them at Seahurst Park in Burien, WA. Stormwater Adventure! is geared towards families with K-8 students but all ages are welcome! Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
