In celebration of Women's History Month, Mahogany Ensemble Theatre continues its 8th Season of Plays with 'Gee's Bend' by Elyzabeth Gregory Wilder. Interwoven with gospel music, Gee's Bend is a heartwarming and powerful play about a family of women in the real community of Gee's Bend, AL which is now famous for the beautiful quilts created by the women that grew up there. Gee's Bend depicts their personal journey which parallels the turbulent history of African Americans in the 20th century.

In recognition of National Quilter's Month, this production will feature a special quilt exhibition showcasing the quilts made by African American women in North Louisiana.
