BAAY Presents: Chicago
**If tickets sell out online, please arrive 45 minutes prior to showtime to purchase from the box office. If you purchase tickets online but arrive late to a sold-out performance, your seats may be re-sold to individuals on the waitlist.**
'Chicago: High School Edition,' directed by Teri Grimes, showcases talented performers ages 14-17, many of which have received extensive musical theatre, dance, and vocal training through BAAY programs and elsewhere. The musical follows the story of two performers convicted of murder as they vie for the spotlight, the headlines, and acquittal. 'Chicago' is based on a 1926 play written by reporter Maurine Dallas Watkins about the real life criminals she reported on. It features vaudevillian razzle dazzle with a satirical edge as it explores the concept of the "celebrity criminal."
PLEASE NOTE: This show contains mature themes, so parental guidance is recommended for young viewers.
