Farm Cooking Class
Come on out to The Side Yard Farm and learn how to prepare the ultimate farm to table Greek dinner with Chef/Farmer Stacey Givens. The Side Yard Farm is a monthly communal table urban farm supper club in NE Portland. Focused on seed to plate dining out on the farm with multiple courses and family style seating. Growing on urban acres from the veggies, to the eggs, milk for cheese and honey from our bees. Chef Stacey Givens of The Side Yard hosts guest chefs, brewers, distillers, winemakers and artisans of all kinds throughout the season to join her in making each dining experience unique.
This class will show you the ins and outs on how to prepare a large farm to table Greek dinner! Hands on from out in the field harvesting, menu development and prepping in the kitchen! Learn how to make spanakopita, pastichio, souvlaki and more. Stacey's mom is from Greece and has taught her all of the family recipes. After the class, we will sit down and enjoy a beautiful dinner with wine out on the farm.
