NoBetterOff

Five local musicians with their feet firmly planted in the traditions of rock, folk, blues and country music will be featured when NoBetterOff returns to the Cauldron during our
April live music series.

NoBetterOff began years ago as casual Friday night jam sessions among friend. It has evolved into a band that plays regularly in the area, including recent appearances at Iota in Arlington and the Palladium in McLean. Anchored by the distinctive vocals of Gus and Marty Guthrie, NBO includes Terry Judd on bass, Joe Martinez on percussion and mandolin, and Steve Selby on guitar.

"At our shows, we like to keep that familiar feeling that people are just over at our house on Friday night, listening to good friends play music straight from their hearts," said Judd.

In addition to fresh interpretations of songs by some of their heroes such as John Prine, Buddy Miller, Ryan Adams, Lucinda Williams and The Band, NBOs shows feature original compositions by band members.
