Capitol Wrestling & BeTerrific Present The Colossal Confrontation
The Event, airing live on TWITCHs front page, will be Capitol Wrestlings first ever LIVE special, featuring all four of Capitol Wrestlings champions defending their titles from the new Capitol Center in Harrison, New Jersey.
The event will feature not only a night of live wrestling action, but also feature a live pregame show and postgame show hosted by Capitol Wrestling correspondents Candace Cordelia and Brandon Lewis as they break down the action and talk with talent from the BeTerrific Studios in Secaucus, New Jersey.
From long-standing grudges coming to an end to first-time ever confrontations, there's something for everyone. The show is, from a brand reach and content presentation perspective, highlighting the next level of Capitol's potential for growth and engagement.
The TRIPLE MAIN EVENT for the August 10th event is as follows:
FOR THE UNDISPUTED CAPITOL WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP Ken Dixon (c) v. "The Bad Apple" Matt Macintosh
Dixon has spent NINE undefeated months as Capitol's bold-talking "bearded bastard" kingpin, while Macintosh is fast-growing in popularity and has waited in the wings for a title shot since December.
FOR THE SAPPHIRE TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP Mempho Mofo (c) v. "Colossal" Mike Law
The "straw that stirs the drink" is the loquacious and ostentatious Memphis resident who has proclaimed himself "the last bastion of Southern rasslin'." The diminutive, yet proudly combative "Colossal" Mike Law held gold in Capitol for 11 months before being unseated by his opponent in this match.
FOR THE CAPITOL WRESTLING WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP "The Answer to Your Prayers" Ariela Nyx (c) w/ "The Femivist" Portia Vaughn and "Sizzling" Stan Styles vs. "Thick Mama Pump" Jordynne Grace
Antagonized and "triggered" feminist activist/wrestling manager extraordinaire Portia Vaughn managed Capitol's Tag Team Champions Luxury Muscles Incorporated for a tumultuous, yet successful 18 months. Vaughn's college "bestie" is cold brewed coffee and barre aficionado, and female grappler Ariela Nyx, who controversially "won" the Women's Championship in a tournament in Athens, Greece. If she is the champion on August 10th, will have held the belt for 18 #WCWs (WOMEN'S CHAMP Wednesdays). Simply put, Jordynne Grace is a peerless grappler widely considered one of the best wrestlers in the world under the age of 25, male or female, with world-traveled experience proving this fact.
Also signed are the now-undisputed Capitol Wrestling Tag Team Champions, Juba and Smiley, who won the titles in June after defeating two members of Seth Rollins Black and Brave Academy on Capitol Wrestling Television!
