Spontaneous Smattering XII - Nine Past Midnight
Cone Man Running Productions and The Company OnStage present
SPONTANEOUS SMATTERING XII: Nine Past Midnight
Benefitting the Houston Food Bank
Ready to come play with us? Because we've been gearing up to have one of the craziest night of scripted theatre you have ever experienced. Not only will we make you laugh your ass off, but we are working to raise funds and food for the Houston Food Bank!
On Saturday, July 28th your free shot will be waiting for you at the door and the combined efforts of over 50 people will be on display in a completely random and raucous night of theatre not suitable for all ages.
At 7PM on Friday, July 27th, the writers will meet and randomly draw their actors, get their other parameters and endeavor (sober or not) to write a presentable short play. They arrive back at the theater on Saturday, July 28tth, scripts in hand at 8AM to hand off to the directors and casts who have until 7PM to run around and rehearse, find props and costumes and be amazing for two performances that very night - one at 7PM and one at 9:45PM. YES, IT'S ONE NIGHT ONLY - SATURDAY JULY 28TH!
We're at a new location too this time! Our friends at Company OnStage are graciously inviting us into their new space and we can't wait for you to see how wonderful it is!
Company OnStage 4930 West Bellfort Avenue Houston, Texas 7035
And as always you - the audience - will get to vote on awards such as Best Use of Genre, Best Use of Prop, Best Actor/Actress and the coveted "Best In Show"!
Tickets: Only $20 and all the money goes to the Food Bank. Also, if you bring a canned good/nonperishable item, you get $1 off your ticket (up to $5 off).
