Indianapolis Early Music Festival | Red Priest
Concert Six of the 2008 Indianapolis Early Music Festival. America's Oldest Early Music Series, Presented by The Festival Music Society of Indiana.
Sunday, 27 July | RED PRIEST, "Johann, I'm Only Dancing!" Taking a title from the 1970s David Bowie hit, this program presents the music of Johann Sebastian Bach in Red Priest's flamboyant and truly "baroque" arrangements, featuring selections from the organ works (including the great Toccata and Fugue in D minor), Violin Concerti, Orchestral Suites, and Flute Sonatas -- alongside music by Bach's compatriots Telemann, Handel, and Schmelzer.
All Concerts Begin Promptly at 7:30 p.m. with "Words on Music" at 7:00 p.m.
Persons who need special accommodations due to disability should contact the Festival Music Society directly at least seven days prior to performance. Large print materials and sign language interpreters are available upon request.
