The Rocky Horror Show
Gateway Players Theatre of Southbridge presents The Rocky Horror Show by Richard OBrien. Pre-sales for Friday night's performance have ended.
In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad and Janet, stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker and a creepy butler. Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named "Rocky. Complete with sass from the audience, cascading toilet paper, and an array of other audience participation props, this deliberately kitschy rock 'n' roll sci-fi gothic musical is more fun than ever. The show features the popular songs, Dammit, Janet, Time Warp, Sweet Transvestite and Toucha, Toucha, Touch Me.
This show has very adult themes, parental guidance is reccommended.
While NO OUTSIDE PROPS WILL BE ALLOWED, we will have audience participation bags available for sale and a cash bar onsite.
Performance dates are Friday, August 17 at 7:30pm, Saturday, August 18 at 7:30pm & 10:00pm, and Sunday, August 19 at 2pm.
