Tidal Tales
Saturday, August 25th 9:30 am-11:30 am Tidal Tales - a low tide nature exploration and comics workshop with Seattle Nature Schools (for ages 10 and up) Lincoln Park, West Seattle FREE
Local science educator and zine artist Emilie Bess will lead youth age 10-18 in an exploration of the plants and animals that can be found at low tide in the Puget Sound. After exploring the intertidal zone, we will create mini-comics and mini-zines that feature our observations and questions, info on animal behavior and life cycles, and stories of fantastical nature adventures. No drawing experience required. Supplies provided. Enrollment limited to 12 participants (all participants must register prior to class).
How to get there:
Park in the lot at the southern point of the park -- on Fauntleroy Way SW across the street from SW Cloverdale St. (Please note -- Google Maps will lead you to the north parking lot -- the South lot is closer to shelter #3). Follow the paved path toward the beach. Walk past the swings and bathroom on your right to Picnic Shelter #3.
