IAN FITZGERALD AND SOMETHING ELSE Following the release of You Won't Even Know I'm Gone and his well-received collaboration with Smith&Weeden, Ian decided to form his first band. Known as Something Else, the band includes Seamus Weeden (also of Smith&Weeden) and MorganEve Swain and James Maple (both also of The Huntress & Holder of Hands). Ian first worked with MorganEve in 2008, when she played fiddle and sang on his record Empty Like The Lion Den. All three band members contributed to You Won't Even Know I'm Gone: Seamus played guitar and sang; MorganEve played viola; and James played percussion and engineered the record. Together, they are reinterpreting songs of Ian's both new and old, with many being performed by a band for the very first time.
DAN AND THE WILDFIRE Dan and the Wildfire is a particularly potent cocktail comprised of 1 part old time mountain folk, 1 part classic rock and roll, and 3 parts bottom shelf bourbon. Mix it up and what you get is a musical experience that burns it's way into your bones and lights up your soul with a crisp, rootsy sound that'll leave you reeling for another taste of that Wildfire. This Boston based band was started by guitarist and singer-songwriter Dan HL in 2011 with trumpeter Thom Brennan and Keyboardist Matt Hines under the auspices of forging a softer, folk sound. Their sound grew beyond the folk boundary when bassist Sam Katz joined the band. To date, Dan and the Wildfire have played all over New England, Washington D.C., out to Chicago and burned down every place in between. Their third studio album 'Bull Moose', released in March of 2015, is the next chapter in the evolution of the folk, rock experience. Their well received second album 'Smoke Signals' is available worldwide and follows their debut album, 'Nothing, Anything, Everything' released under the moniker 'Dan HL' in 2011.
RACHEL SUMNER Rachel spends the majority of her time as one of the lead singers and songwriters for acclaimed folk-pop band, Twisted Pine. They released their debut eponymous album on Signature Sounds (Lake Street Dive, Crooked Still, Josh Ritter), and will soon be releasing an EP of covers with the label in the summer of 2018. On their self-titled album, her songwriting can be heard in the emotionally charged "Easton" and the country-cabaret lilt of love & deceit, Lose My Love. Her song, "Bank Man Blues," beautifully recalls a true, heart-wrenching tale of her family's evection during the housing market crisis. Collaboration with mandolin player Dan Bui on the opening track "Hold On Me" earned a nod from NPR's Heavy Rotation:The Songs Public Radio Can't Stop Playing segment while the fire-filled, "When I Called Your Name," continues to be featured on prominent Spotify roots playlists.
