Mr. Marmalade by Noah Haidle
Lucy is a 4 year-old girl with a very active imagination. Her mom doesn't have much time for her, and her babysitter is neglectful. What's a little girl to do?
Luckily, Lucy has her her imaginary friend, Mr. Marmalade, who loves to come for tea parties and to play house. Unfortunately, he also drinks, has a cocaine addiction and a collection of pornography and dildos. Not to mention he beats up his personal assistant. On top of that, her only real friend, Larry, is a five year-old who happens to be the youngest suicide attempt in New Jersey.
Mr. Marmalade is a savage black comedy about what it takes to grow up in these difficult times.
